New Board of Directors for 2008-2009

MONTREAL, November 5, 2008 - The Canadian Deaf Sports Association (ASSC-CDSA) Annual General Meeting, in Victoria (BC) has elected the new Board of Directors for 2008-2009 on October 25, 2008.

The ASSC-CDSA Board of Directors for 2008-2009 are :

President: Gregory Desrosiers of Cloverdale, BC
Vice-President: Mark Dunn of Victoria, BC
Treasurer: Beau Cockburn of Chatham, ON
Director: Mark Kusiak of Calgary, AB
Director: Daniel LeCours of Richmond, BC
Director: Claudia Larouche of Port Coquitlam, BC
Director: Donald McCarthy of Edmonton, AB
Director: Roy Hysen of Mississauga, ON

Along with the ASSC-CDSA Office, the new Board of Directors will have to prepare the 2009 Taipei Summer Deaflympics Canadian Team and find new means of funding the High Performance programs and athletes.
